Qualifications of the award recipient:
1. At least five years of service as an elected Register of Deeds
2. A well documented record of accomplishments within the ROD office
3. Achievements in other areas of importance in county, state, or national government in which the recipient has been active.
4. Served in a leadership capacity in one or more offices of the NCARD, such as district chair, committee chairperson, legislative representative, or any of the elected offices of the Executive Committee, or other elected or appointed positions within the state association or a national association.
5. Have such intangible qualities as leadership, compassion, humanitarianism, spirit, good humor, integrity, perseverance, and long-term dedication.
History of the award:
Eunice Ayers was instrumental in the formation of the North Carolina Association of Register of Deeds and served as the Association’s first President in 1952-54 |
